John Deere Tractor & Pumpkins at DRI

The Pumpkin Patch at Abilene’s Disability Resources, Inc. is always a fall favorite. There’s still time to stop by and check out all that they have to offer—which is plenty—they have everything from large pumpkins to minis, pumpkin pies and gourds available for purchase. Definitely something for everyone!

The Pumpkin Patch is also decorated with bales of hay, scarecrows, large tractors and several scenes set up especially for photos ops. The brisk, sunshiny weather makes for a great outing for a morning or afternoon; so bring your camera, family and friends and make this an event to remember!

This year, several new events have been added: kiddos can enjoy an old-fashioned hayride around the campus, story time, or plenty of pumpkin-themed games. All activities are free and open to the public!

Disability Resources, Inc. (DRI) is located at 3602 N. Clack St., just north of I-20. This Pumpkin Patch is unique because funds raised from the sales of goods will be used to continue DRI’s mission of providing vocational training and care to developmentally disabled individuals. Come out and enjoy the beautiful fall scene and support a good cause.

The Pumpkin Patch is open Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to dusk, and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to dusk; through Halloween. For more information or to schedule a tour, call 325-677-6815 or visit their website.
