Meanwhile, back at the Ranch...

Make plans to join award-winning chefs and winemakers at the 7th Annual Buffalo Gap Wine and Food Summit at Perini Ranch Steakhouse in Buffalo Gap, Texas. The event will take place April 14 through 17 and will feature the following very special guests: one of America’s best-known chefs, Jacques Pepin and his daughter, Claudine Pepin; and award-winning chef and native Texan, Stephan Pyles.

Enjoy exclusive and intimate events such as: “Bottle Shock” under the stars – a movie that explores the birth of California’s Napa wine industry and an “Evening in France” – dinner with Chef Stephan Pyles. Join Master Sommelier Guy Stout of the Glazer’s Family of Companies, along with Rhone Valley French winemakers and their California and Texas counterparts for “Rhone on the Ranch” and learn from one of America’s best-known chefs, cookbook authors, cooking teachers – Jacques Pepin and his daughter, Claudine, at a once-in-a-lifetime cooking demonstration and signing, “Pepin’s Kitchen.” You’ll dine and dance the night away under the West Texas stars as you sample some of the region’s finest from today’s hottest chefs at “Cowboys, Cuisine & Cabernet” on Saturday night. Before you hit the road, the Perini’s will say farewell with a traditional Texas brunch, complete with Tito’s Bloody Mary’s, at the “Bid-Adieu Brunch” on Sunday morning.

As you can see, the weekend is jam-packed with great wine and cooking “themed” events. You definitely won’t be bored or hungry! Last year, the theme was a “Night in Arabia.” It was just that – complete with Lamb Kebab with Couscous, seafood soup with McPherson Texas Rose of Syrah, and Belly Dancers – yes, in Abilene! This year, the theme is said to be centered on an “Evening in France” – so expect the Ranch to go all out and plenty of surprises along the way!
