Put the “oooooooooooooooo” in spooky this Friday and Saturday with the Abilene Preservation League as they entertain you with stories of Abilene’s more spooooookiful past! Take the whole family along for a house tour, an enchanting trolley ride or both! The trolley will take through parts of Abilene, while a guide tells harrowing, kid friendly stories and then back to the Swenson House to meet real characters and a tour of the mansion. Times are from 7 to 10 pm and the cost varies: $10 for the house tour only, $12 for the trolley only or $20 for both. Food will be available for purchase. Happy hauntings!

The annual “Boo at the Zoo” is back this Saturday from 1 to 7 pm. This family fun event features local community businesses setting up “treat spots” to hand out candy and treats to all visitors. There will be a costume contest for kids through the age of 12. Remember the Zoo will be closed Saturday morning to setup and will be open at 1. Cost is $4 per person. A less-kid friendly option to get spooked this week will be at Frontier Texas! A very indoor scary, very haunted house awaits you where you travel through the darkest depths of fear and fright!
