That’s right the West Texas Fair and Rodeo marches back to the Taylor County Expo Center this Thursday. This year’s theme is a flashback: “Remember when…1963.”

They will celebrate the last 50 years of this iconic Abilene event with 1963 inspired giveaways, events and even prices! On Wednesday, September 11th, you will pay the 1963 admission price to get in to the fair: .75 cents for adults and .30 cents for students.  What a whale of a deal!

This Thursday, September 5th marks “Sneak-a-Peek Night” where you can ride all the rides for one price. Throughout the next nine days enjoy this old fashioned county fair that will feature children’s activities, entertainment, livestock and horse shows, carnival rides, a PCRA rodeo, delicious food and much more. The parade will be Saturday morning in our historic downtown. Need more info? Call 325-677-4376 for more info.

What’s your favorite ride? Growing up the only one I was brave enough to go on was the Ferris Wheel. As an adult the only one I’m allowed to go on is one in my head because I am too much of a wuss to get on one!
